Future corporals
The training of future corporals is divided into four consecutive phases that last for one year:
- Common Basic Training Phase: Lasts 10 weeks and ends by passing to the second phase as long as the candidate has a minimum average score of 10/20
- Rank Training Phase: Lasts 11 weeks and ends by passing to the third phase as long as the candidate has a minimum average score of 10/20
- Weapons Training Phase: Lasts 10 weeks and ends by moving to the fourth phase after satisfying the required conditions
- Specialty Training Phase: Lasts 12 weeks and ends by obtaining a specialty certificate number 2 or weapons certificate number 2, and getting promoted to the rank of corporal

ADVANTAGES
- Monthly pay of 15 dinars during the training year

- Achieving the rank of corporal at the end of the first training year and getting paid as so
- Every soldier can get promoted to the non-commissioned officer category after fulfilling all required legal conditions, either through career advancement or after participating in an internal competition
