Admission requirement
- Citizenship: Tunisian
- Marital Status: Single
- Age: the candidate has to be between 20 and 35 years old. It is also possible to get a permission from the Minister of Defense to apply starting from the age of 18
- Medically fit
- Visit a regional recruitment center during the recruiting period (March, June, September and December).
Benefits:
During his military service period, the soldier is granted the following privileges:
- Free food, lodging and clothing
- Free medical care
- Monthly allowance of 200 dinars for soldiers who have a higher education diploma acquired after finishing at least two years of college or after receiving a technical training and obtaining a senior technician diploma. All other soldiers get an allowance of 100 dinars
- Reduced transportation rates
- Priority to get recruited by military schools
- Increasing by one year the maximum allowed age to apply for military schools (24 years instead of 23)
- The possibility of obtaining a technical training suitable with the education level of every soldier
