The BAAS provides the following fields of specialty:

 Training Facilities

In order to accomplish its mission, the BAAS makes use of the following resources:

 

  • Various laboratories for aerodynamics, automation, electronics, hyper frequency, electrical, telecommunications, computer, internet, multimedia and foreign languages

 Training organization for officers engineers

 

The training for officers engineers lasts 5 years.

 

For all branches : two years of preparatory phase for engineering studies.

 

   For pilots:

The training comprises two phases:

  •  Theoretical phase: Consists of 1350 hours stretching over 18 months culminated by obtaining the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) after passing a national examination organized by the Ministry of Transportation
  •   Practical phase: lasts 18 months and is concluded by obtaining one of the following certifications:
  • License or military certificate as a Transport Pilot at BAAS
  • Military certificate as a Fighter Pilot or Helicopter Pilot at the Air Force squadrons.

 

  For the other branches of studies:

The training requires 3800 hours partitioned as follows:

  •   Scientific Education: 2300 hours divided into 5 semesters of theoretical and practical courses. The lastsemester of the third year is devoted to realizing the graduation project. This education programalso comprises two mandatory job trainings at the end of the first and second years.
  •  Military Training: 1500 hours of theoretical and practical training, parades and physical education.
